Kerala Migration Survey 2023 takes place through Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation under the direction of Dr. S. Irudaya Rajan, Visiting Fellow, GIFT and Chair, IIMAD which is funded by the Government of Kerala.

Our Founder President Dr. K.C. Zachariah departed us on 17th January 2023. 

Chair is part of both Jharkhand Migration Survey 2023 (10000 households) and Odisha Migration Survey 2023 (15000 households)

Arya Suresh

Research Fellow

Arya is a recipient of the 2022 NTU PhD Studentship award, and is currently a Doctoral Fellow at the School of Arts and Humanities at Nottingham Trent University, UK. Her research focuses on feminist understanding of gender based violence against migrant women in the trans-national space. A Post Graduate in Development Economics and Policy from the University of Manchester, she has been actively involved in international migration research since 2012. As a Research Associate at Centre for Development Studies, Trivandrum, she has been the lead coordinator for several international projects including the EURA-NET research funded by the European Commission in India. She has been an affiliated research fellow at the IIMAD since 2020. Having conducted extensive fieldwork in India and abroad, she has several publications to credit and her research interests include immigration policies, gender issues and the socio-political dynamics of the trans-national space.
