IIMAD is pleased to announce the launch of the website for Migration and Development Journal. (MAD) “Migration and Development” is available at https://journals.sagepub.com/home/mad At launch, the journal begins a free access period which ends on (06-12-2023).

Kerala Migration Survey 2023 takes place through Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation under the direction of Dr. S. Irudaya Rajan, Visiting Fellow, GIFT and Chair, IIMAD which is funded by the Government of Kerala.

Ashwin Kumar is currently a Graduate Student in International Migration Studies at the Graduate Center, the City University of New York (CUNY). Prior to this, he was a Research Associate at the Centre for Development Studies (CDS), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, under the supervision of Prof. S. Irudaya Rajan. He has worked extensively in the area of international and internal migration in the Global South and from India in particular. He has also previously worked with the Indian Centre for Migration, which is a think tank affiliated to the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. Additionally, he has also consulted on a research project commissioned by the International Labour Organization, New Delhi on the impact of COVID-19 on the Indian migration governance system, along with the Centre for Indian Migrant Studies (CIMS), Kerala.
