Kerala Migration Survey 2023 takes place through Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation under the direction of Dr. S. Irudaya Rajan, Visiting Fellow, GIFT and Chair, IIMAD which is funded by the Government of Kerala.

Our Founder President Dr. K.C. Zachariah departed us on 17th January 2023. 

Chair is part of both Jharkhand Migration Survey 2023 (10000 households) and Odisha Migration Survey 2023 (15000 households)

Lathika L – MiFood Project

Lathika holds a Masters in Sociology from the University of Kerala and Clinical Psychology from the University of Tamil Nadu. She has worked in the capacity of a research assistant in various projects on migration, ageing and health in Kerala funded by Qatar University, Kassel University and the Tata Institute for Social Sciences. She was also a part of the recent study funded by EQUIDEM which focused on understanding the impact of COVID – 19 on GCC migrant workers. Before joining IIMAD, Lathika served as a Research Assistant at the Center for Development Studies, Thiruvanathapuram wherein she was involved in various projects on migration and ageing as field researcher and supervisor. She aims to combine her training in clinical psychology along with her knowledge of sociology to assist the society, especially migrants.
