Kerala Migration Survey 2023 takes place through Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation under the direction of Dr. S. Irudaya Rajan, Visiting Fellow, GIFT and Chair, IIMAD which is funded by the Government of Kerala.

Dr Md Mizanur Rahman is a research associate professor and graduate faculty of Gulf Studies Center, College of Arts and Science, Qatar University. Dr Rahman is a sociologist by training, working on labour migration, transnationalism, immigrant businesses, migration and development, gender and migration, and other related topics of the South-South migration with a focus on the Arab Gulf states, Southeast Asia and South Asia. Before joining Qatar University, Dr Rahman was an Associate Professor at Universiti Brunei Darussalam and a Senior Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore. He was a member of Migration Research Leaders Syndicate for the 2018 Global Compact on Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration, formed and spearheaded by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) – the UN Migration Agency – based in Geneva. Dr Rahman is editor of Springer Nature’s Gulf Studies book series and sits on a number of editorial boards of international journals.
