Kerala Migration Survey 2023 takes place through Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation under the direction of Dr. S. Irudaya Rajan, Visiting Fellow, GIFT and Chair, IIMAD which is funded by the Government of Kerala.

Our Founder President Dr. K.C. Zachariah departed us on 17th January 2023. 

Chair is part of both Jharkhand Migration Survey 2023 (10000 households) and Odisha Migration Survey 2023 (15000 households)

Muhammad Ashraf is currently a DAAD Doctoral fellow at Berlin Graduate School Muslim Cultures and Societies, Freie University, Berlin, and pursues dual-PhD in Area and Religious Studies in Humboldt University, Berlin and the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. He has broader research interests in the areas of migration, religion, development, and Anthropology of Islam. He holds a BA in History (the University of Calicut, India), an MA in Islamic Studies (Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar) and a second MA in Religious Studies (Queen’s University at Kingston, Canada). He has also formerly studied as an exchange student at St. Antony’s College at the University of Oxford in the UK.
